The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom features many intriguing side adventures that reward observant players, but few are as unique as A Call From The Depths. This extensive quest sends Link across the Great Plateau and deep underground to assist a mysterious entity trapped beneath the surface. Completing this objective yields valuable rewards that directly enhance your character progression.
Starting the Quest on the Great Plateau
To initiate this journey, travel to the base of the Great Plateau wall south of Hyrule Field. You will discover a stone-blocked entrance that is holding back a body of water. Destroy these rocks using explosive items or heavy weapons to drain the lake and reveal a hidden passageway.
Pass through the newly opened tunnel to locate a small statue that speaks with a mysterious voice. The entity instructs you to visit the Temple of Time Ruins located on the surface of the Great Plateau. Speaking to the large Goddess Statue inside the ruins will activate the formal quest and mark four distinct chasm locations on your map.
Locating and Transporting the Four Missing Eyes
Each marked chasm corresponds to a missing eye that must be cast into the subterranean realm below. The northern eye is submerged in a pool of water, requiring Ultrahand to retrieve before tossing it down. At the eastern chasm, break through a rock wall to uncover the second eye.
For the southern location, lift a large stone to reveal the hidden eye before throwing it into the chasm. The western chasm requires players to melt a block of ice using fire-based weapons or items. Transporting each eye individually prevents them from resetting back to their original surface coordinates.
Navigating the Depths to the Bargainer Statue
Once an eye falls into the chasm, dive into the Depths to manage its transportation to the central destination. Nearby deposits of Zonai devices provide materials to craft vehicles such as minecarts, cars, and flying wings. These constructions allow you to navigate dark terrain and gloom patches safely while carrying the eye.
Guide each eye toward the Great Abandoned Central Mine positioned directly under the Temple of Time Ruins. Bring the items to the bottom tier of the facility where the massive Bargainer Statue resides. Using Ultrahand, slot each eye back into its designated facial socket.
Claiming Your Quest Completion Reward
After restoring all four eyes, the ancient Bargainer Statue fully reawakens and expresses its gratitude. As a unique reward, you can choose to receive either a free Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel. This choice offers significant value without consuming any Lights of Blessing earned from shrines.
Additionally, reawakening this massive entity grants access to its specialized shop inventory. You can return at any time to exchange gathered Poes for rare items and armor pieces. Completing this adventure remains one of the most rewarding endeavors available in the underground map.
